• Beason continues to question the bill & amendments. Currently he is questioning requiring a portion of the contracts going to minorities. #

• SB121 amendment: Out of 100 million dollars a year, 10% has to be spent with minority contractors. #
• Sen. Denton: We need to be aware that this is a constitutional amendment. The people of Alabama will make the final decision. #
• Sen. Sanford (R) offers an amendment to SB121 which requires that ALL people hired to work on the project are from AL. #
• Sen. Sanford says that the road builders told him that this bill would support 30,000 jobs but would only create approx. 3,000 jobs. #
• Barron says that Sanford should embrace the bill because so many dollars will go into Huntsville. #
• Barron says that Sanford' amendment is unconstitutional but will recommend that everyone vote for it. #
