The Cover of the Rolling Stone….

Lodged in between the kids of “Glee” and a wrap up of SXSW, hipsters can read the gory details of Jefferson county’s sewer debt crisis on Rolling Stone magazine’s website.

The piece, Looting Main Street, by Matt Taibbi squarely takes aim at Wall Street banks through the lens of JeffCo’s financial woes and corruption cases. The story appears in the April 15th print edition of RS.

Prominently featured is county employee Lisa Pack who became a spokeswoman of sorts for workers forced into unpaid leave near the end of the summer. Back at work, Pack has decided to join a growing field of candidates for county commissioner. She is one of several challenging the sole incumbent seeking re-election, former state lawmaker Bobby Humphryes.
