MONTGOMERY, AL (WAFF) – Alabama lawmakers aim to send a message to Washington about restoring funding to NASA’s Constellation program.
State Senator Tom Butler, D-Madison, spoke out the Senate floor Thursday morning in support of a resolution asking Alabama’s Congressional delegation to fight for the Constellation program.
“I think the 2011 federal budget is devastating to our state,” Butler told his fellow senators.
The resolution passed on a voice vote.
It had passed on a voice vote in the House earlier this week.
A copy of the resolution is also being forwarded to the White House.
