A newly-released poll from Public Policy Polling finds Congressman Artur Davis leading Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks 38% to 28% in the Democratic primary for governor.

A survey of the Republican field has former 2-year schools chief Bradley Byrne narrowly leading former judge Roy Moore 27% to 23%. Rep. Robert Bentley and Treasurer Kay Ivey show up in the poll tied for third at 10% and businessman Tim James at 9%.
