Artur Davis Polling Team Touts New Numbers
The Artur Davis campaign starts Friday with new numbers from its polling team, Anzalone-Liszt.
In an email to supporters from Davis Strategy Director Jon Paul Lupo, the campaign claims new strength in favorability ratings. The email states:
“Artur Davis favorability rating of +22% positive to negative is an all time high, and over 66% of voters who know Davis rate him favorably.”
The email says to offer context, in the same time period, Pres. Obama’s approval rating in the state went from +19% positive to -17%.
“When given the option to vote for a generic Democrat or a generic Republican, Alabama voters choose a generic Republican by an 18-point margin. But in hypothetical match-ups with Bradley Byrne, Tim James and Roy Moore, Artur Davis is in a dead heat, outperforming the generic Democrat by as much as 11%.”
The campaign email claims the poll shows a “strong lead over Ron Sparks,” but offers no details.
